That attachment (if I remember correctly from 60 years ago) allows a remote cylinder to be controlled with the right lever. The left lever is a selector valve, that sends the hydraulic pump output to either the three point hitch (when locked back) or to the right lever and from there to a remote cylinder. There should be two hoses going from the valve to quick-disconnects mounted (probably) behind the seat for connecting to the remote cylinder. We used the remote to dump a hopper on a peanut combine that received the peanuts that had been removed from the plant. It was double acting (I think).
