So newest issue with the mower is it seems that it will occasional bog down. Not when in tall grass just like driving down the driveway headed to the lawn. The speed will go in half and it can barley spin the blades. If I give it a few minutes or will all of a sudden pick up again. Makes me think it's a has problem. Like maybe the machine is not getting enough gas or too much gas or something. If any one has any ideas that would be super helpful.

Next issue is it is scalping. Ideas on how to fix that cause that just sucks.

As far as the battery not staying charged idk it's getting 14.5 volts when running. Not sure where the power goes. It's a 350 cca and 300 ca normal it is new this spring but the sticker says from 2016.

I think I might just hard wire a trickle charger to it for now.

Has any one mounted led lights. I work days now and don't have enough time to mow cause the sun is going down so early. So kinda want to mount some lights. Has any one tried that. How did it go. What problems have you run into. I saw some led lights that were battery powered with magnets and were rechargable at Napa liked the no holes having to be drilled idea.

Did you check the universal joints to make sure they're properly lubed between the pto shaft and the mower? Do all the spindles spin freely?

Scalping is in the nature of a large deck. I have a 60" 3pt mower and in uneven areas I have to run it a bit higher.

Has hte battery gone flat at any point? Once it's been discharged, it's a crap shoot for weather it can hold a charge again.

I haven't mounted lights on my zero turn, but I've had very good experience with LED flood lights from amazon, they throw an incredible amount of light, it would just be a matter of mounting. If you have a ROPS that would be a pretty good mounting location. Then run a wire to the battery and hook up a switch in line, and you should be good to go.

As far as scalping it's doing it in places where it has never done it before. In have been mowing this property for 23 years I know every bump and rock. It's scalping where it has never before. And it happened after sending it in to have a gasket repaired by the oil dip stick.

No rops to mount lights to. I might trade it in and get a new one so I don't wanna drill any holes in it anywhere

Check for bent spindles. If you're on perfectly flat grass does it mow evenly? or is it one blade has a different cut than the other two?

Sounds like your options are pretty limited for mounting locations for a light then You might try some adhesive, but in my experience that's always left more of a mess than a small hole that you could mount a light on.

Bent spindles or blades, or even bent deck. On a flat concrete pad, measure the blade tip clearances at several positions in the rotation.

I'll have to try the measuring thing tonight. If I can get under it. Maybe if I lift the deck up a little.

I could maybe use a u bolt to mount the lights to the front deck by the front wheels some how I guess. Maybe rubber dip them .
