Filter Confusion?

So...trying to make sure I use the correct Hydraulic Filter on my 4720 not sure if it's a model year 2004 or 05?
Anyway the filter I have on there now is a
NTB8030000A3
I do a search here and it appears that this filter NTB8030000B3 maybe an updated filter for the older one that I have?
So I go on-line and order the B3 filter.
But that's not what showed up here in the mail.
They sent me this filter, NTB8030000C.
Has the filter been updated again?
Is it safe to use this on mine?
It shouldn't be this hard lol

As long as it's a Branson OEM filter and looks the same as the others, shouldn't be any problem. Maybe they just sent an new old stock.

How much different does it look from the one you have?

Tractor only has 400 hours on it....filter that's on it is close to 15 years old

no its not the same filter! it is different than what you have on your tractor it WILL NOT WORK
the NTB8030000B3 is the correct updated part #
Contact where you bought the filter and have them send you the correct filter that one will not work for your tractor.

The last thing I need is to mess something due to a filter. I'll contact them soon for the right filter.

you are welcome i only mention it because i would hate for you to damage something in your tractor from someone else giving the wrong filter or information.

Well...that did not work out to well for me!
Sherwood Tractor which I did call...said they would get back with me to verify I had the right filter.
They also said I could contact Branson, which I tried with no response....email.
Long story short guess I'll just eat the filter that Sherwood sent me, seeing how they never got back with me either!
Who wants to sell me a filter the fits & works?
I believe I need NTB8030000B3
