Hello Everyone... I have a question for you all I hope you all dont mind. O.K. I finally finished assembling my sprayer. Its a Fimco 110 gallon Sprayer .... but I am having a problem. When I turn the pto on, the liquid filled pressure gauge goes up to around 60lbs of pressure....as soon as I turn on the valve on the TeeValve Assembly (AA-17L) to the right set of spray nozzles, all the pressure disappears. There is fluid coming out of the spray nozzles, but it doesnt seem to have any pressure on it. The gauge goes to almost 0 (Zero) lbs of pressure.

I dont seem to have any leaks, because when the valve in closed, the pressure goes to 60 or so lbs..... Im thinking its the pressure regulator, it has the PISTON TYPE PRESSURE RELIEF/REGULATING VALVES but i dont know if that is the problem.

I read a couple of threads that basically had the same problem, but I dont know how they solved that issue, what is wrong with the sprayer.... Can someone help me out please....

THanks and May God Bless You...

Needs new washers. Or replace the pump.

the pump could be bad but that is the last thing I would check. does it maintain pressure with the left side of the boom?
if it does, there is something hooked up wrong on the right side. you can't develop pressure without restiction. kinda sounds like a line that is either supposed to be capped or connected elsewhere is connected back to the tank.

My sprayer has a pressure set valve that i boost to nearly 80 # when the sprayer isnt on. When i open the valves it drops to about 20#. Then i set it to the pressure that the spray chart requires for the travel speed.

How old is your unit?

Have you checked the filter for clogs?

also make sure none of the hoses are twisting when the pump is engaged. make sure the chain is secure.

The Pump is a brand new pump....the unit is like 1 yr old.... I will check the back flow line, the lines and everything that I can again. If nothing else I will try and get me a new pressure regulator....its cheaper than the control valve.

mine would sometime twist a line, and the pressures went to cr*p.

I also had the misfortune of getting a cracked filter bowl that messed up the unit nicely.

Other than that, mine is about 8 years old, and works every season.

Just had a similar problem with my PTO driven sprayer, Had to call in Hotsy because I wasnt sure what went wrong. The unloading valve ( which also adjust the pressure of the sprayer) had failed. If you watch the knob when you go to spray and stop spraying it should move in or out when you spray and release the pressure. Hope this helps.
