Final reduction gear oil leak NH 1925

Hi. My first post and need help. Came across this site and have bean reading for long time. NH 1925 MFWD front axle final reduction gear oil leak. My question is can i press the first bearing and gear together off or just the bearing alone. Then gear take off C clip or snap ring then press last bearing of shaft and hub. Don't know if bearing went bad and cause seal to leak. Will get one or two new bearing and seal. Thanks for the wealth of information onthis site...

I usually pull the bearing off first using a couple rolling head prybars. But there is no reason you can't pull the gear and have the bearing come with it. Don't freak out when you see the retaining ring in two pieces. It's supposed to be that way.
