Finally - a decision! 3320++

Well, after much lurking, reading, and interacting with all of you guys, I'm taking the plunge tomorrow morning. I'll be going to Ag-Power in McKinney, TX to sign the deal on my first "real" tractor. I think I got an excellent deal:

All prices include freight, but not taxes. I'm very happy with the deal (a bit over 18% off "list price" for the total package), and the dealer has been extremely good over the past 10 years, servicing my JD LX178 Lawn Tractor.

I don't know if he has everything in stock, or if I'll have to wait for him to order one for me. I'm going to take advantage of the 0% financing as well. Now the waiting part starts! (This is going to kill me!)

Very nice Jim... The 3x20's appear to be phenomenal tractors. Hopefully he'll have a pretty one in stock for ya... pics are required here of course once you've got it home...

If you got 18% off list you did very well. I bought mine just over 15% off.

Yeah, I was actually surprised. I had pretty well convinced myself that 15% off list was the best I was likely to get, and so when he came in under my "best estimate", I was totally surprized. I was expecting a much harder time getting to the deal I wanted. The dealer showed me the incentives that were on the tractor, and there were quite a few of them, but only on the tractors he had "in stock". He checked into ordering one, and found the incentives were not showing up. He was honest with me, and told me that IF they continued past 11/27 with the 0% financing, there might be even higher incentives, but that he had no guarantee. Basically, he was passing almost all of those incentives along to me in the form of price reduction.

Apparently, this is a great time to buy! But, on the other hand, I was honest and up-front with him, listened to his recommendations. And, when he gave me the price, and I knew is was an exceptional deal from a well-above-average dealer, I committed on the spot. Truly one of the best purchasing experiences I've had on any major purchase.

Tractor price looks GREAT even the loader.

The other attachments cost ya but overall that tractor is an outstanding price. He gave you air ride, 3rd valve, telescoping Draft links (wich may mean 4th and 5th SVCs), and auto cruise. Easily $3200 worth of options on a good day.

Yep. I'm sure I could have done better on some of the implements, but to me, loyalty is a 2-way street. And I'm pretty sure they will be there 10 to 20 years from now.

Now for the longest 6 days of my life - waiting for delivery... Argh!

My wife even conned me into cleaning the garage today so that I have a place to put the tractor. Ironic - the new truck and the almost new Audi sit outside so that the tractor can sit in the garage... I think we're just nuts enough to fit in well in this forum!
