Tractor News Finally bought a tractor.

Broadmoor. Love it. The automatic traction control really helps when cutting on hills and slippery grass. Hydro drive is great. I mow around a lot of trees and other obstacles. Simplicity is a great machine.

Congratulations on your new tractor and I don't have any wife jokes, been happily married 43 years with two sons and two daughters, seven grand children and one great grand child. My wife is the best thing in my life.

We will have 10 years in this summer. Three kids together, three more from past relationships. Two hers, and one mine. I love her. She is a great mother and a fantastic wife. Best thing that ever happened to me as well.

when I finnaly bought a tractor my wife complained about the expense. Complained, not really more like nagged. I finnaly had enough and told her I prepare your garden in the spring, I get your garden ready for the fall, I mow down (with a sycye thank you) the dorment feilds to help with your alergies, I bring in the fire wood AND I am now tired of been your donkey. So allow me to introduce you to my new best freind.
We had a FEW rocky weeks after that but guess what, both the tractor and the wife are still here.
Once in a while it pays to say back off, it is what it is and have a nice day

Get her involved. Put a seat on the front of the tractor. Have her sit on it and give her a ride. It's handy having a wench on the front of your tractor.

:laughing:You guys are good. Thanks for the laughs. I will dig up the leach field and get that fixed early spring. Also going to put two new drain tiles in on the high side of the house to get the water out to the back and low part of the property. I will get all that done early and have it leveled off, raked and seeded in early spring. That way the grass will be groing very well by the middle of may. We have a grass seed up here, developed by one of the local Universities if I remember right, that grows great in our yard. Unbelievable how fast it comes in, takes a little while for it to get good and thick, but looks real nice quickly. Then will come getting some good top soil from meadow on parents property and bringing that to the house and building her a nice raised garden. I think I will have two long and narrow ones so it will be easier for her to plant and tend to them. Have a good one guys.

That's one of the last things I would ever hand to my wife if she was PO'ed at me:shocked:

My wife wasn't happy when I decided to get the Massey. I wanted to get a tiller for it shortly afterwards....she said no! After I worked the garden with the plow, and 1 row cultivator......she bought the tiller for it.

As for the tractor.........the keychain has her name on it. She won't even entertain the thought of getting rid of it now. She uses it as much as I do. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

We have a Kubota L4310HST that we've been happy with. My wife operates occasionally.

One tip: When you park outside, point the tractor uphill. If you point downhill,the rain will follow the engine hood "gutter" and dump water onto the battery. Kubota fixed that problem with subsequent models, using a swing type hood.
