Just bought a 2010 SC2400 with loader mower box blade. Looks like a nice little rig! Will be replacing my 5234 which I have sold. Pics to follow!

Pics attached.
Some initial observations....with a lighter SCUT, front loader, R4 tires, and no rear ballast, my first trip down my gravel driveway was interesting.....hopping and skipping down. 5234 just walked right down, but it didn't have the loader and had R1's.
It has many improvements over the 5234....shift on the fly (really like that) can choose between the rear/mid PTO...seems like higher ground clearance....cruise control...and hydraulics set up a bit better.
Very nice little rig!

Now I need a set of R1 tires.....does anyone know if I can just switch tires on the current rime, or have to switch rims as well??
And, anybody know of a set I can get?

Lots of toys there! Hope you don't run out of dirt to shove around or you'll be looking for a larger place soon.

I also have just come to the darker side. Long time lurker, learned tons here, thanks. Many posts and videos. Just got a SC2450 as well as a box scraper and scraper blade. Arrived today. I now have an old Kubota B7100 for sale with a few implements. Wanted something with FEL and BH. Will get a front mount snow blower this fall, probably a Bercomac

We are expanding our backyard to prepare for a likely wedding here next year - or the following. That was ticket that my wife needed to let me upgrade. Yard is full of weeds and is uneven. Clearing out some brush, a few trees and quite a few rocks. Just learning still. No problems with the embedded rocks just below the surface. Took out a stump, that was a lot tougher, but got it done. I also have plans to increase my parking area and storage area for all this new stuff. My lane is about 500ft and needs some care as well. The old machine was primarily for snow removal, and so will this new one, but the SC2450 will have so much value when winter is over.

Dealer was great. Muskoka Rent-All. Delivered for free, did demo on removing/connecting BH. Set up the 3PH for me. Welded on chain hooks to bucket, and painted, no extra charge. Great deal on the 2 scrapers as well. Already used the hooks a number times, including offloading the box scraper.

Sounds like you're going to put that machine to good use. Sounds like a good dealer as well. What part of the country are you located?

I've had this issue as well. My property is quite steep, and with the bucket on, downhill travel requires caution if there is no ballast unless in 4wd.
My tires are loaded, but if I don't have something on the 3pt or use 4wd the rear tires will skip as you describe. Wasn't sure if this was common with scut's or just this particular one.

Huntsville, Ontario. About 2 hours north of Toronto - "Cottage country"
I will send some pics later

I've heard good things about the bercomacs. I know Cub had issues with it's first SC 2400/2450 blower, but have since replaced it with a much better 52" unit. Pretty $spendy$ from what I hear. No idea what the Bercomac's cost.
I already had a front hitch to fit my 2400, and the older style blade and blower that should fit right in. I've actually got a few blowers, 48" and 54", wondering if the 2400 will handle the 54".... It's built quite a bit heavier.
