Also, it looks like brand new mower blades from Howse are only about 23 $. Not bad at all. On their website there is a diagram showing every part, and they can be ordered on line.

Can't wait until spring and the grass starts growing...

Or, is ALL the weight on the 4 wheels of the mower even though it's a 3-point attached implement?

The tractor should be carrying zero weight of the fm while mowing. The staggered wheels on the fm isn't a big deal, only the front 2 hit the grass before the blades. The grass will get back up in a couple hours. Change your mowing patterns to prevent rutting. I'd worry more about the weight of the tractor and remove the FEL while mowing.

668# is heavy, my Woods RM360 at about 550# is the heavest thing I have to lift.

Not trying to bash Howse, bill6, but I'd recommend getting parts from a dealer. Howse is not exactly known for great customer service from the plant. I personally know 3 people who have been frustrated in dealing with Howse. They wound up buying from a dealer, and we're only 30 minutes from their manufacturing facility. However, there are a lot of old Howse rotary cutters running around here. I hope yours lasts you a good long time. I just purchased a new RFM, and I'm ready for the grass to grow, also.

I had good luck with a 5' Howse brush hog. Worked it for about 14 yrs and only had to keep the jerks geased and the blades sharpened. Sold it along with the tractor.

That blade tip speed is the highest I've seen advertised!

I know this is an ancient thread but can anyone give me the minimum and maximum cutting height of the c372? And how do you change the height? From the pictures I've seen there are no spacers at the wheels like the others.
