Well it just started raining about 10 minutes ago. And it's really pouring down out there. I was looking at the forecast and it said expect thunderstorms. And what do ya know? It actually started raining. Thank God. It is much needed. Been so dry around here.

Hopefully it will rain all night. :cool2:

Anyone else getting rain?

We got 1 inch overnight here - could have used a lot more. However, I heard that areas just 20 miles away got as much as 3 inches during the same timeframe.

I'm glad for you, but I'm also jealous.;) I've gotten about .22" since the middle of June.

Glad someplace else is also getting rainfall, here in central Michigan we went nearly 7 weeks with practically no rainfall, then a week ago we got 1 1/4" in my area in two showers and it is raining again today...supposed to continue the next two days. I have not done more than a token mowing since the first week of June, probably the longest period of no mowing I can recall in 20 years of living here.

It rained pretty heavy from the time I posted this thread up until 4:00 AM. Then it was off and on.

Before I posted this thread. I ran out to roll my windows up on my truck and luckily, my rolling the windows up didn't stop the rain.

Most times It starts raining, I go out roll windows up and it stops raining within a minute or 2. Never could figure that one out. :confused3:

It doesn't look like anymore rain in the forecast until the 3rd and 4th of August. I sure hope some more rain comes sooner.

We are in bad need here, some farmers are going to lose their whole crop.

I'm in the middle of Missouri. Got 0.8 inches at my place, but in town some areas only got about 0.3 inches. My place may have gotten a bit more after I left for work...I hope so. The radar looked like a small additional fall may have hit my place. I was giving up on the garden because with 100+ temps I would have had to water every day to keep some stuff alive. Now I may at least try to keep some of it going. I even had okra die.

I'm in the Bootheel, so maybe it will wander down here before it dissipates, but I'm not too optimistic.

Have not seen rain since the first week of june. Even the weeds are dieing. Poor corn farmers have full grown corn with very small ears.
