Finally got my FX26D

My FX26D came in last week and I finally got around to taking some digital pictures of it. I installed a Koyker 155 loader on the tractor and it seems to be a good match. I just need to get accustomed to the the shifter lever being beside the fender instead of on the the dashboard like my 2620D. I keep wanting to throttle up or down instead of shifting. I am attaching a picture.

Realllllly nice looking rig!! Questions for you, does koyker make mounting brackets for that tractor or did you have some fab work to do? Is the shifter on the right the powershift shifter? 1,2,3,R?
I wish I had one too!

Yes Koyker does make mounting brackets that bolt right up to the tractor. Someone mentioned Allied as having jumped on the grey market tractor bandwagon by making loaders for them. Well Koyker does the same thing. And yes that is the shifter beside the right fender. The pattern is 4-3-2-1-N-R1-R2.

About that Koyker loader - is it removable? I have an FX24D - looks identical. I want a loader but would need to remove it for work in the vineyard.

That Koyker is a great looking loader. I wonder if Koyker makes any of the OEM loaders for some of the name brand tractors? I heard that the company that makes Bush Hog mowers also makes some of the compact JD loaders - though I do not know this for sure.

Yes the loader is removable, but I have not taken mine off yet. You place the parking stands on the loader, pull two pins and then lower it until it rises off the the mounting brackets. Disconnect the two hydraulic lines and then back away.

Looks like a great tractor. Since you've had it for a while how is it performing? Any problems come up since you bought it? Enough power? What attachments are you using? Who did you purchase your tractor from?

Nice machine !!!!!!!!! be sure to use the cluth with EVERY shift, the ring & pinion can cost a small fortune

Nice looking rig Brent. I was surprised by the car-like transmission shifter. Looks comfortable.

P.S. Athens, Alabama is my hometown where I grew up. Will be there Thursday-Sunday for a family wedding.

How are you liking your tractor so far? Just curious, where did you buy yours? I just bought a FX28D with the 155 loader for my farm just down the street from you in Toney. I bought mine from Fredricks in Hartselle.
