Cub Cadet 7265
I finally ended the decision process and added a new family member. I looked at and test drove every brand but kept coming back to Cub. I still can not believe the amount of work it does.

Toothbar makes a big difference. (Trust me it is not that clean anymore).

I have a 7265 and absolutely love it!! No gimmicks, just heavy iron and its a real workhorse for the hp rating. Welcome and let us know how you play, uh, I mean work with it.

Ditto on Dutchman's comments. I have a 7234 and I also am amazed at what it can do sometimes. Hope you enjoy the Cub, I don't think you will be disappointed. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

His profile shows a 7265. That would be 26-hp with hydrostatic drive.

I was originally going to get 30 HP, but funds became an issue. I moved topsoil all weekend. I haven't had this much fun since my dad bought me my first atv about 25 years ago. Only one problem everyone is cutting into my seat time. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Nice looking setup. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Does that RFM do a nice job on your dirt?? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Looks like you're in the process of building? Should give you LOTS of seat time! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Do you mind mentioning what your package went for? The 7265 would be a little smaller than what I would need, but it's always interesting to make comparisons.

Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't have the paperwork in front of me but I can give you a pretty close idea of my prices. Cub Cadet 7265 4WD Hydro 26HP with FEL $16,000. Bush Hog RD72 RFM $1,500.00. I probably could have done a little better but I have worked with the dealor in the past with other cub cadets and was real happy with them.

There is only about 1 acre of dirt and close to 4 of thick weeds. I was impressed the first time I cut it down. Weeds and grass about 2 ft high. Set the RFM to 6" and cut it with no problem. I took it a little slow (Really bumpy) to avoid ground hog holes and rocks. I am now cutting it at 4 inches and 99.9% of rocks have been removed. I still need to level it out. I think it is about time for new attachments. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
