Finally moved on the farm!

Well, it's official. We've packed our bags and moved out of our house in town and made the trek across the county to make our home at my wife's family homestead. We've been preparing ourselves for this day for a long time, getting a lot of work done and we still have a lot more to do, but we're here.

Meanwhile, my wife has various cultures and starters brewing in the kitchen, our chickens are scratching around the yard like they own the place, and neighbors are already offering to sell us goats as soon as we can take them.

Life is good, and it's only getting better!

Cool. Get the goats milk and cheese and tastey eating. Plus they clear areas out pretty efficiently. Don't forget to get the garden started

Congrats! I'm right behind you! We're in town right now and on our way out to 20 acres! It can't happen fast enough. I'm the only guy in town with a tractor in his garage. I trailered it out today and brush hogged about 8 acres. Had a blast. When I got done, I just sat there awhile and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Enjoy your new home!
