So after searching for over a month and getting close to being able to purchase I have finally narrowed it down. Everything was considered to include JD, Kubota, NH, Mahindra, Kioti, and TYM. Cost is a factor and I am someone with 4 acres that will probably have lower usage, will not being using this thing weeks on end. Primary use will be snow removal, landscaping etc.

This is what I came up with. All prices reflect a cab, front snow blower, and loader, r4 tires, and HST.

Kioti 2510- 26k
Kioti 3510-32k

TYM 254- 20k
TYM394 or 474 same price right now- 30k

Only the TYM 394/474 and Kioti 3510 have AC. TYM salesman is an out of a garage guy dealer, from talking to numerous customers hes great to work with and does warranty work on the spot or comes gets it. Kioti dealer will come get machine and loan equipment for free if your machine breaks down. I am also the type of the person that doesnt need a dealer for every little last thing, I can do fluid changes, and basically all user level stuff.

After comparing the two the TYMs actually spec out really well and the TYM 254 has a yanmar engine, where is Kioti is daedong. AC is not a huge need for me, but after sitting in the 25 series tractors they are somewhat cramped in terms of foot pedal locations and I am not a big guy. I also dont plan on being in this thing for days on end either. While the 25 series probably does everything I need it do, but the 35 and bigger series probably really ensure Ill never have a want or need ever for more.

The TYMs are already at bottom dollar and no taxes, Kioti prices are with no haggling as of yet, but dont expect more than a few bucks off and taxes are up in the air. Both dealers are close enough to not make a difference. My only concern is after warranty is out repairs on the TYM or if the guy out of his garage dried up, nearest TYM is not 90mins away.

Part of my question is, will any dealer fix any machine say 10 years down the road. Under warranty I got it, but once its out IM not a guy where my stuff has to go to the brand dealer for repairs, I go to who does it the best for the best cost.

Think im leaning towards Kioti if I went with with the bigger one, as i can probably get the price down to be even. My only thing is the smaller tractor the 25 series, thats a 6 grand swing and by all accounts the TYM is better than a kioti.

I'll only say there are many that buy......then wish they had gone with a bigger tractor. Me included.

Thats the thing, the 25 series tractors is probably more than what I want it to do now, I would probably be better served with the 10 series 18-22hp tractors to be quite honest. The 35 series tractors are well and above and beyond anything I would ever do. So its hard choice, basically is it worth 10k now? IDk I also have unlimited free use of a excavator and skid steer from a friend.

In my case it's because I moved to more land. I'm only saying think long and hard before you make the purchase.

I'll also add I have had my Kioti over 4 years with about 500 hours and not one problem to report.

Great advice. You can never say never very true. Good thing is I am on my third and final house actually being built now. So never can predict the future, but mid 30s, going to be in this job for a while without moving, so I expect this is it until retirement or death.

My last home was a custom built "last home". Lived in it 22+ years.

We just moved into our "last" home in January. I did retire last year and wanted more land and cleaner air. We moved from a little town 30 miles west of Salt Lake City to southeast Idaho, much better air.

Yeah are next move will be after retirement, which is 20-23 years give or take. That all depends on where kids go, and what we want to do. Theres always life changes that can occur, divorce, death etc, that change things. So realistically if this tractor last me the next 20 years Ill be happy, when I retire and have to move or want to move, a 20 year old tractor probably be the least of my worries tbh.

I wouldn't want a cabbed tractor without air;go with the 35 HP.

I second nybirdman's suggestion. Glass cabbed tractors collect heat on a sunny day and are uncomfortably hot even with the the back and side windows open. AC also helps keep fogging down in the winter.

Amen- words of wisdom to live by. Just traded up from 44-66hp and wish I壇 had it for the last 12 years. NOBODY complains about too much power 😂
