Got a Cub 3205 with PTO that's disengaging frequently, uncommanded. Guys tell me to clean the PTO vent tube and solenoid screen.

Question: where are these, physically, and how do I access them?

I would suggest that it might be that the seat safety switch is acting up.

Thanks for the idea. Why wouldn't other stuff be dropping out if it is the seat switch? Such as engine dying (doesn't the seat switch cut power to the engine when no weight is on it?

Yes, of course, you are right. The engine would cut out if the seat switch were faulty. Does it bog down before disengaging or just spontaneously digengage? Perhaps the 'won't mow in reverse' switch is causing it. I know there is a way to disable that switch and it's somewhere in this forum. Otherwise I don't know where those parts you mentioned are located, or even if they exist.

take the seat off and the vent tube should be under there
