One of the front tires on my BX24 was losing about 3 psi in a 24 hour period. I tried the soap and water and did not have any luck locating the culprit. By using the loader bucket to lift the tires, I was able to slide a tub under the tire, fill it with water, and wait!! and wait!!

Finally, after about 15 minutes of searching, I found it. One small bubble every 15 seconds.

Total time 30 minutes. 10 minutes to locate the tub, 15 minutes to locate the leak, 5 minutes to plug and put in the air.

It sure was nice not having to spend the 15.00 to have the tire fixed. (and there was no real manual labor)

Put a can of "fix-a-flat" in it and your problems will be solved forever..
Make sure you DO read the directions real good and follow them to a T
works for me :D

Now I have seen it all. A Kubota soaking it tire after a hard days labor. Next thing the hour meter will cause the engine to shut down after four hours of running time. There must be a union card in there someplace.

Plugs dont always work well in the side wall, I agree some slime or even the dreaded fixaflat might have done you better. Good luck.

First (and only so far) flat on my 4010 front tire, I didn't bother finding the leak. Just filled with air, slimed it, moved to other side and slimed that one, too.

I like that. Yup, after a hard day at the office, my Kubota needs a "foot" bath. Maybe even a "foot" massage! Oh, and no, the Kubota does not shut off after 4 hours of running time, I do. On second thought, I don't make it 4 hours, at least not without a nap.

Alright, with all the experience everybody else has in the forum, I heeded the advice and purchased a jug of slime. Should be here next week.

Thanks for emphasizing what I read about in other topics about slime but was procrastinating purchasing. Guess I'll test the slime out against the cactus plants around here.

I've got a 2 wheel dolly here at work with the 8" tires. Small leak that won't go away. So far I'm up to 4 cans of Fix a flat and it still leaks. One day it will be filled with solid fix a flat and maybe it'll hold.

If I use green slime my tires will just bleed green....and keep leaking. Maybe it's the heat down here. I just keep an extra tube for the front and rear around the place. :D

If 'Fix a flat' is what you call the stuff in the spray can, I've found it to be pretty useless to be honest. Slime is much better. I had one front tyre puncture that was a half inch long. I tried plugs and slime but that still wouldnt stop it because the tyre flexes so much. So I took off the tyre, glued a 4inch square of heavy old curtain material over the hole (on the inside of course), coated it with more rubber adhesive, then finally slimed it. Fixed at last!

Actually, Slime's website says it won't fix sidewall leaks.
