Great job Rich! Maybe you ought to start marketing it. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

VERY nice Rich!
I'll take both a hitch and the sprayer, but make my sprayer a 50 gallon jobber /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. Let me know where to send the check!

Hey, I just noticed....where are your ROPS???

Looks great Rich!

Where'd your ROPS go? Who are the two fellows behind the fence? Names! We need names! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

HEY,
the ROPS is off cause i gotta make it foldable (future project in next few weeks) the yellow lab is Nellie and the beagle is Peanut. both are wonderful dogs but the lab likes to bite kids for some reason. thats is why the pen is there and invisible fence around the property. as far as the foldable ROPS, acually i was thinking of cutting the ROPS just above the slow moving vehicle bracket and welding in an insert on the bottom part the exact shape of the inside of the tubing. then i could have a pin hole on each side of tractor with snap clip. undo clip, pull out pin and slide top part of ROPS off lower part. then i wouldnt have folded part behind me. also the insert would have a plug weld in lower section. ya know, extra hole in tubing then weld thru hole onto insert and grind smooth. then the insert would never come out. whatcha think?

Rich, although your ROPS modifications sound strong I wouldn't recommend it. IF you ever did have to rely on the ROPS AND it were to fail (for whatever reason), you wouldn't stand a chance in todays courts. I know there are a lot of IFs and ANDs involved but with my luck it would be some jerk stealing my tractor, abusing it, rolling it, injuring himself, then sueing the h*** out of ME.

Does Kubota make a folding ROPS you can trade for?

BTW, great looking hitch. Are you selling copies /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rob, what is Rich going to do?---sue himself? If the folding ROPs turns out as nice as the sprayer I am sure it would be fine. Put a placard on your tractor--EXPERIMENTAL--does not meet safety standards. This way if you flip over and it fails and you land on your head--if you remember who you are when you wake up you will not be predisposed to sue yourself for altering your own tractor. I always worry about those do not remove tags--someday I am going to pay for that too when the "tag police" show up. J
