here are the pictures of the finished bumper . it's got two tiedowns one on each end for tieing it down to a trailer or if needed to tow something by. i also added a pad-eye under the bumper so he could hook hish strap to that instead of reaching way down in the water and mud. i bent the bumper to fit the contour of the atv/ it hugs the fenders pretty good and is solid as a rock.

Looks good. What are the tabs for on the end of the bumper?

Do you think it would be possible to leave the bottom bar round, cap it, and end the top bar on top of the bottom bar. It would make the ends stronger.

the bottom bar is full and intact i coped the top bar to fit it. you could take and leave both pipes solid but then the ends wouldn't have the strenth that it does with this design. the way it is i have about 6"of weld holding them ends together. the tensil strength of the weld can hold 10,000 lbs per inch so the welded ends can take and suport about 50,000lbs of force or more before they give and they will never see that amount of force. the tabs on the end are to put two 3/8th shackel and anchor it to the trailer when hualing it around. or if needed he can pull off them when stuck.the pipe walls are almost 1/4" thick they ain't gonna bend at all you can hang this atv from the side shackels on the bumper and it won't budge at all. the bumpers you buy online or at the dealer are made of guaged steel tubing that is about 1/8th"thick you can bend it just by bumping into something .i use real iron that will take a hit and laugh at it. the next bumper i do is gonna look something like the ones i made for the xuv's and hpx's it's just gonna have two striaght pipe runners with cross braces in between.it will drop lower because the guy isn't worried about the storage box that goes in the rear. the reason i had to keep it high was to reinstall the storage compartment box in the rear of this atv.
