finished restoring the gooseneck this week....

I had a gooseneck that is probably 15 years since new and I have used the heck out of it over that time. We've hauled all kinds of equipment/materials on it over the years. A few weeks ago I looked it over and decided it was time for some new boards. Well after we took off the boards we decided it was a good time to paint it. So we took a grinder and took it all back down to bare metal. Then we went ahead and replaced all brake/marker lights with LED's and installed all new wiring. We painted it with some rustoleom extreme duty direct to metal paint. It's suppose to hold up to severe abuse and not oxidize. After paint we installed the new boards and DOT marker tape on the side rails. I have 4 new hub caps ordered for the axles and when they come in I am going to change the oil in all of the hubs. Essentially it's a new trailer and I could't be any more proud. Next I have a car hauler trailer that needs almost the same amount of attention. Gonna try to start on that in a couple of weeks.......don't ya just love winter projects.

Lee....what is the length of your trailer (including the dovetail)? Is it 22ft including the dovetail? By the way, it look brand new. Nicely done and the tension to detail shows.

it is a 20' deck with a 5' dovetail so it is 25' overall(not including the gooseneck). We probably had 60 man hours in it but it really turned out just like a new one.

No they don't match because I am going to be pulling it with a 97 f-superduty powerstroke and it is setup a little different. I just happened to be hauling that trailer this particular weekend.
