Finishing Mower

I am interested in buying a fininshing mower for my tractor and am looking at the Bushhog RDTH-72. Does anyone have any experience with theis mower and what should I look for in a finishing mower?

You didn't fill out your profile so I have to ask, what size tractor do you have? Do you have enough PTO hp to run the deck? Why did you narrow your choice down to that brand, that model?

No experience with that particular mower, but I had the RDTH60 (one size smaller) and it was great on a Kubota B2710.

Funny you ask about that mower, My dealer has 2 two trade-ins that are Bush hog 72" rear finishing mowers. Not sure why or how much they want. I could call them and ask how much if you want.

I have an ATH 720 made by Bush Hog. It was used by a school for ten years for maintaining athletic fields before I bought it. I have owned the mower for two mowing seasons . I have had great service from the mower so far and it is still in good overall condition . I would have to say it still leaves an excellent finishd yard when I mow. Seems to be very durable.

I havent looked at the model you mentioned to see how it compares to mine but if they are similar I would say you are making a good choice.

I find it helpful that the mower is wider than my wheelbase. It allows me to mow closer to trees and fences ect...

A 72" RFM is what I am looking for and Giddings is not too far from me. I would appreciate more info about those you mentioned. You could respond here or by private message.

They are both side discharge,72", Bush hogs and the parts guy believed they were asking $1290 each.
One has pneumatic tires while the other has hard rubber tires.
