Finishing or Grooming 3 point mowers

Bought a Gen 2 JD 2025R 3 months ago. Did not want a MMM but did get a 60 inch rotary cutter. Been thinking I might like a 60 inch 3 point grooming or finish mower. Could do about 90% of mowing here at house and 99% around trailers at deer camp. Use the rotary cutter at deer camp as well for several acres of fields . What is you guys opinions on the 3 point grooming or finishing mowers?

I have located a lightly used Frontier GM1060R at a local JD dealer. A 2015 model sold new in May of 2017 and used very little. Still has most of the green paint on underside. Wheels show little to no scuffing from use. There is a blister on skirt where evidently something hard was hit while mowing and made a blister about size of a 50 cent coin. Dealer has agreed to check unit over for damage if there was any from whatever was hit like blades and spindles and to grease, service and deliver to my house and make sure it is set up properly to my tractor. It already has the I-Match conversion, anti-scalp front roller and rear chain deflectors. This is made by Woods as the PRD6000 in the Woods line. I have a price of $2450.00 from dealer out the door delivered and checked out on my 2025R. What do you all think about this price?

I think the price is on the high side. I bought a 60 inch Bush Hog used from a dealer for 1200 2 years ago. It is older than what you're looking at, and it's a good machine. I routinely see name brands on Craigs list for less than that.
I would recommend a rear discharge as there are no windrows as opposed to a side discharge.

Local dealer support, IMO can be worth what might be considered a premium price. Your comfort level is all that matters. It sounds like a fair deal to me if it was at my dealer and I was looking for a 60" rear discharge and relatively new finish mower along with saving $1K over brand spanking new one.:drink:
