John Deere 3720 Cab Tractor
Ok, I just went to my dealer... to check out the progress on the tractor.. They are almost done. Just need to fill the tires, and put the loader on, and assemble the Hyraulic Cylinder for the 74" Rear Snowblower. So hopefully tommorow is finally the day I've been waiting for... The Tractor looked great, especially with the vertical exhuast installed. If any of you guys are about to buy a JD 3000 Twenty Cab Model, I highly recomend the vertical exhuast...Not only because it makes the tractor look cool, like a real aggressive machine, but it is way safer than the lower exhuast. You aready have to look out for your cab, so looking out for your exhaust isn't going to be much harder. It is a two piece design... so when you want to lift your hood, you have a cool area to grab the upper half (the exposed part) and pull it straight off. Now you can lift the hood. The stack looked to be about 3" in diameter, and fits over the slot pegs on the inside portion of the muffler. The radio is up on your top left, as you are sitting in the seat... the speakers you can't see, but they are corner speakers which are hidden behind the upholstry of the top corners of the Cab. I can't wait.. hopefully tommorow is the day....

Sounds like a nice setup. By the way, where do those cabs pull in external air from?

"Way Safer"???? Having a hard time understanding that one...

Where I live in brushy country, it just sounds like regular trips to the Deere store for replacement parts!

Good Luck, It will be interesting to hear what you think after you actually have worked with it....

Yeah, I mean way safer... locked inside of a cab with Carbon Monoxide coming in.... yeah... that could kill you.... my last cab tractor had C02 problems, and it would get you very sick... until I added the vertical exhaust..... once I did that problem was gone.. and I also not only didn't get sick anymore.... I didn't smell like diesel exhaust afterwards.... Besides if you live in brush country you probably shouldn't have a Cab in the first place.. But this is a two piece exhaust.. I'm sure the top piece would come off before any damage is done..... besides, they are cheap.. for the top piece... if it were a problem I'd buy a few in advance..

Peter, I just got your private message... Ebay number 7568311958... please tell me that wasn't you that is trying to sell my tractor on a fraudulent Ebay Page.. who ever it was copied my photos, copied my description... and best of all they don't have a tractor to sell.. I sold that machine last week.... I wish Ebay would catch up to who ever is trying to sell my JD 4200... because I guarantee you... that is/was my machine. I sold it.. so nobody should be bidding on it, because if they are I want to warn them there is no tractor anymore....

Oh thanks, yeah, somebody has copied my Ebay listing... and has a tractor that doesn't even exist anymore for sale... I contacted Ebay about it, and they haven't got back to me about it yet... thanks.. yes, it was a scam... it almost ruined my legit auction because people didn't know who to believe.. so they wouldn't bid, or would call me thinking I might be the scam artist trying to sell someone elses tractor.... I assure, It was mine, and it sold fast once we got a taste of snow, I knew it would... Jason

Yup, scam artists all over E-bay.
It's a good idea to watermark your listing photos, although I confess I don't know how to do it myself.
A friend who is a renowned guitar tech had an image lifted from his website of a vintage Fender Stratocaster guitar. One of the newsgroup guys saw his watermark "Copyright Time Electronics" and called up the shop to ask about it. Bogus auction- the guitar was safe and sound in NJ. (Seller was in the UK).
We bid that one up to a few million dollars for laughs before it was pulled.
As a general rule, overseas sellers requesting wire transfers only are a good tipoff. "Contact seller to be out on approved bidders list" is another.
ATV listings are rampant with these mutts, FWIW.

My $.02

Jon
