I once had a mini similar to that, in fact I still have it. If you will note, that mini shown on your link at Northern Tool has no rear suspension, this is commonly called a "hard tail". My little scooter was like this.

On flat smooth surfaces it was great, but get off road and the ride was bone jarring. I even installed a large cushioned seat and reduced the rear tires air pressure to nearly nothing. It was still a hard ride. The worst was dried cow tracks on pasture roads. It used to rattle screws loose in the frame and rattle my teeth loose.

I guess it would be OK for kids, but for me it was just too rough.

With best regards.

Go to your local TSC, they have what looks like the same machine there for the same price. I know a kid that has had one for about 2yrs now and has run the snot out of it, don't know which one has gotten beat up more, him or the bike, it sure has been a tuff one.

One of the reviewers said to not settle for the "cheap one" and get the one with the Mitsubishi engine. The Mitsubishi engine would be the reason I'd not have anything to do with it. Mitsubishi is the cheap one! They don't exactly have a very stellar history with their engines for sure. I'd look for one with a better engine.

A lot of the ones I've seen around have a Chinese engine. I think I'd rather have a Japanese engine, Mitsu or otherwise.

Whoah very nice find!

Oh and when I first saw it, I was in the northern tool store. It looked nice and felt pretty comfortable. Even though they look small they seem like they would be quite nice.

My neighbor has one of these and he has beat it to death.
Should be a timex. He runs it wide open all the time.
It may ride rough but for $400 bucks you can't beat the fun level~!

That's what I'm thinking 400 bucks is one heck of a deal. I will see if northern tool could match the price somehow though because I will have to travel all the way across the state up to MN to get one though. I guess we don't have a pep boys in iowa. Although thinking about the cost of gas on my truck to get up there I might as well buy it at northern tool. Either way 500 is still a good deal.

The only downer for me is it's only a 1 seater, but I suppose that's what the gator is for huh ?
