Fireplace/woodstove gasket

One nice thing about ol' Papa was that he is an end loader and can take 30" wood. Note advertisement saying "Will last longer than you will".

My mom's got a big one in her house, installed if I recall about 1982. Double doors, shuts down really tight.
This past year we had to flip the inner baffle plate over because it was sagging in the middle.

I don't clean the glass very often on my morso. Sometimes it will black up by morning but after burning about an hour, it's gone. I think the super hot air that blows out of the baffle on top of the firebox, oxidises the soot. When i do clean it, i squirt some Dawn dishwashing liquid on some paper towel and it cleans it right off. I throw the used towels into the stove.
