Neat, but you gotta think that would only be a tool that could be afforded by a firewood processing company.

For 99.9% of the members here, it wouldn't be affordable. Also, unless you have a skid steer, most of us don't have the hydraulic supply to run it or the cabs to keep us clear of flying sawdust.

Very cool attachment, though.

Good video, but the sticks are too short and split finer than I like, also have to cut logs into short pieces for the splitter to pick up. Like has been said too expensive for us ordinary guys.

I saw that vid before. Interesting concept, but i think a traditional processor with a log deck would me more efficient. Seems alot of time is spent traveling.
Plus im sure that trying to "flick" the log from the random pile to the splitter wouldnt always go as easy as the video.

As to price, on another forum, someone was quoted $25,000

The Hakki's or Japa's fold up into a pretty compact package (relatively speaking). Plus i think the bobcat one needs really straight wood. Traditional styles give you more flexability with less than perfect wood IMHO.

Getting out of the cab (or shaking the splitter as in the video) every time a piece of log gets crooked in the splitter section (or for wood that doesnt split cleanly) would get old fast too.
