Hi all,
Right before thanksgiving, we were headed up to Oregon and stopped by Daves Tractors, in Red Bluff, California, to have a look at Mahindras and to check out his tractor assembly setup.
Dave graciously took us on a guided tour thru about 10 acres of tractors and implements, and a peek into the shop area.
As we looked over his display units, I was drawn to a slick looking Branson 2400H with a FEL and a BH, which had just been listed as a Black Friday sale unit....:licking:
An hour or so later, we left as happy new owners of a new Branson 2400H...:D

When it was delivered, it wouldn't start, turned out the clutch safety switch probably had some moisture in it, and since it was ~ 10F, the contacts were frozen. The delivery guy (Lennie) troubleshot it, then jumpered the switch.
Dave sent a box with a new switch, new filters for oil, air and fuel via overnight post!

There was also a mix-up on the delivery price, so on our way back thru Red Bluff, we stopped again at Daves, and he more than made up the difference by giving us a brand new middlebuster!

Nothing but great reviews for Dave, and his crew, great to do business with them!

Sorry, I don't know why the picture is so big...

congratulations on the new machine.
Daves tractor seems to be helpful and has a good reputation on this site

The safety switch on these was redesigned to prevent the moisture ingression. My failed the same way last year. Enjoy your machine

I must say that Bajabum is a great customer. To have my driver call at 7am and say "it's 11 degrees and this tractor won't start to drive it off the trailer" was a real concern! But as always with a "no crank" situation with a hot battery, you look at failed safety switches and that was the case. I am grateful for a driver that is savvy and a customer that is patient and understanding.

But that picture, it must be distorted. It makes me look old, grey and pudgy. Tell me it isn't so!

At least you still have your hair. I'm 47 and mine went south many years ago. Think Bruce Willis or Telly Savalas and that's me. B.

Well, I started hooking rocks with the FEL, and used the BH on a few bigger ones.

What with my son and his tribe coming up for turkey day, not a lot of playing with the new toy was accomplished!

Plus it got seriously cold!

It's up in Oregon, I'm back home in California until spring...Sigh..

Nothing worse than having a new toy, and unable to play with it!

I don't even want to think about buying a tractor and not being able to run it. I feel for ya bajabum. I too bought my Branson '09 3820i from Dave and have been treated very well by him and his staff. I must say though I have 300 hours of work, not idling on my tractor and it has not complained in the least, other than those cold starts. Very happy with my investment. Thanks Dave and Rob..

Off Topic: Dave, I have a set of manuals I got with my 6530C (from a different retailer) and they have the oriental twist to the verbiage. Super tractor but the paper work needs a lot of improvement. Do you know of a publisher that after markets manuals for these machines?

Thanks,
Mark
