We've been under an 'official' severe drought here in VA for a couple of months now. Certainly took it's toll on hay production. I usually get mid 40s to low 50s round bales on the first cut, got 15 and a half today. Frustrating when you're spending almost the same amount of money on diesel, driving the same distance for so few rounds. On the bright side, I topped up my indelible 'farmer's tan' (burn!). Lovely day, warm and breezy although I had just windrowed all the fields and the wind really picked up for 5 minutes. I got to watch all my wind rows turn into long tumble weeds
