What year is the Kubota?? Good to see older tractors still earning their keep. But then, it's probably not as old as the Chevy....

Thanks! It is a 1981 M4500DT. It has already been a huge asset. We also learned a few tricks using a PHD in a rocky area (Only took 6 holes).

You are correct. Every once in a while we get nice dark loamy dirt, but it is about 4 to 1 on each hole we dig.

The trick is:

- auger at idle
- auger a foot down and stop auger
- remove rock and debris around auger
- start again go as far as you can down.
- pull auger up a bit remove debris
- Rinse and repeat.

Holes were taking 30 minutes to complete are now taking 10 minutes
