I feel like one of the 'initiated' now. I had my first active DPF regen today! The tractor stunk something terrible. At first I did not know what was happening and thought
a mouse nest or some wiring had caught fire or such. Then I saw the DPF light on. I let it do its thing while I pushed snow with the bucket and the light eventually went off and the smell stopped just before I decided to park it. I am so happy.....................!!! 🕺

It should become seamless. Only way you'll know is the light is on. If you are working the engine it will regen without effect. If not, it may derate the engine to create enough exhaust heat to do it's job. To minimize the effect increase the engine speed, even if not needed, during the regen so it doesn't have to derate. Regen will just become a part of your life with the tractor. Enjoy!!!

The first regen stunk pretty bad on mine, second not so much. So far it seems like much ado about nothing. Most of the people carrying most on about T4 seem to be those who don't have it.

The under 75 hp machines that don’t have DEF are pretty reliable. The above 75 hp machines with def are far worse.
