I've been wanting to get a quick hitch for my 2320 for a few months now. The only 3-pt implement I have is a 5' box blade and it's kind of a PITA to hook and unhook. My dealer wanted $250 for an I-Match, which was a little too pricey for me given that I wouldn't use it all that much. Every Harbor Freight catalog I get, their $69 quick hitch stares me in the face. I had read a few things about it on this forum and I finally decided to get it and try it out. Here's my impression so far:
- This thing is beefy. I don't know how much it matters, but the HF QH has a larger horizontal piece than the I-Match.
- Welds are sloppy but look solid.
- Alignment and measurements appear to be pretty close to ASAE spec.
- Lower hooks do not need bushings like the I-Match and the "flap" that keeps the implement pin from popping of the hook is sloppy. The pin is cradled nicely in the hook, but this "flap" leaves a huge gap and does not hold the pin in place like I would expect it to. I'll probably weld an extension onto the flap to close the gap.
- My BB needed some adjustment to make this work. I needed to do some grinding on the BB top link brackets to clear the QH hook, use washers on the top link bolt. I also had to grind down the QH hook bolts to get the hook to engage properly.
Overall, with a little tweaking, it seems to be working ok. Since the BB is my only 3-pt implement, I'm happy with the setup. I may buy/build a ballast box at some point, but that should not be a problem. If I had a Frontier BB and will use other Deere implements, I would have gone with the I-Match. Since I'm not made of money, I'm game for whatever works.
The best part of this deal? The grin on my face the first time I was able to back up to the BB, hitch it, use it and drop it back down and unhook without getting out of the seat!
