I have a new Kubota B7500hst purchased last fall. It is almost time for my first maintenance on the tractor. I reside in Canada, so I want to be sure I get proper parts.

Could anyone provide a list of part numbers, and answer a few questions

Engine Oil - Does brand matter?
Engine Oil filter - Part No
Transmission Oil Left side filter - Part No
Transmission Oil Right side filter - Part No
Transmission Oil - Part No, Does brand matter?
Transmission Oil strainer - Part No
Primary Air Cleaner - Part No
Secondary Air Cleaner - Part No
Fuel Line filter - Part No

Can any of these parts be replaced by other brands, Canadian Tire, Fram, etc.?

Reading thru the manual, I get the impression Kubota uses their Super UDT fluid as transmission fluid, as hydraulic fluid, & as axle case oil. Is this correct? In other words, every thing takes Super UDT fluid except the engine.

I notice a filter on each size at the back of the tractor. Do they both filter Transmission Oil? The only dipstick I see for checking transmission/hydraulic fluid is the one by the back of the right foot when you are sitting on the seat.

Here's what the Kubota dealer gave me:

Engine Oil - Does brand matter? I used Castrol full synthetic 10W30 w/ a rating of CF

Engine Oil filter - Part No 70000-15241 was the one they gave me for the 50 hour service, just looked and they gave me 15241-32093 when I was last there for the 100 hour service. Must have some interchanegeability or number changed(?)

Transmission Oil Left side filter - Part No 66021-36060

Transmission Oil Right side filter - Part No 67955-37710

Transmission Oil - Part No, Does brand matter? Kubota UDT, discussions here indicated people using other brands

Transmission Oil strainer - Part No metal screen gets cleaned, only replace if you damage it. This looks like a bolt that holds the banjo fitting on the right side.

Primary Air Cleaner - Part No Don't know, didn't replace
Secondary Air Cleaner - Part No Don't know, didn't replace
(dealer said tap & blow out)

Fuel Line filter - Part No Don't know, box has been trashed.

Someone else may be able to fill in the blanks...............chim

/w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif Just realized you are Canadian. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Prices for most items are very close to American prices except for the $$$ exchange and TAXES. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif I would still make the same recommendations for all the items. Check out all the part numbers at the 2 sites I gave you.

Thanks for the part numbers. I would be interested in finding an Internet Canadian supplier for Kubota parts.

On another note, the manual says to use a non-flammable solvent to clean the Transmission strainer. Any idea what kind of product would be acceptable?

Since the part was metal, I figured the "non-flammable" wording was to cover Kubota's interests should one of us decide to use gasoline to clean it while lighting a cigar. I simply grabbed a can of brake cleaner and sprayed it off.

I can imagine there are lots of chemicals that shouldn't get mixed in with the UDT, but if the solvent has evaporated and left no residue I wasn't too concerned...............chim

I just wiped my strainer off with the gushing hydro fluid coming from the tractor when I took it and the filter off.
Make sure you have 5 gal of hydro (or whatever size those big jugs of hydro are). Oh and a funnel.

I'm doing my 50hr this week as well. I went to the local Kubota dealer to get everything, and they sell other brands of tractors as well. For all the fluids, they sold me Case products. I'm no expert in these matters, so I am trusting them on this. :) All the filters were Kubota label, tho.

How did you get your strainer off? I have done all the mainenance except this one item. I could not find a socket which matched the bolt size. Would the bolt be metric? I tried an adjustable wrench but it slipped off. I didn't want to keep trying and risk damaging the bolt. Who ever put this on really applied it with alot of force. I'm assuming it turns left to unscrew, same as most bolts.

Thanks
