First Oil Change at 32 hrs?

/ First Oil Change at 32 hrs? #11
I attached my 18 hour used oil analysis above. I changed at 18 hours because I wanted to get wear metals out, and change from 10w30 factory fill oil to 5w40 before winter came. Attached here is my 50 hour UOA. I changed at 50 hours to get back on schedule, get any remaining wear metals out, and just because I wanted to. I also have a 150 hour UOA, but my private info is not edited out. I will perform a 250 hour UOA sometime soon this summer. Philip

BTW: Changed the oil today. I used the Kubota filter and after much more deliberation and coin flipping I chose Rotella 15W40. I have been using it in my 2002 Ford Truck I bought new.

15w40 is an excellent choice for South Louisiana. Philip.

I use the Kubota oil and filters. 1050 hours on a 7510 bought in 2007. 1200 hours on a B3200 bought in 2011. 500 hours on a L3910 in 2015. Never had to add any oil between changes. Now the recommended hours between changes is 400. Not sure I want to go that long. I also purchase KATC insurance just in case. So far only had to use it once when vandals put sand in the fuel tank. Just saying.

Attached is my latest UOA at 250 total engine hours. Note, this oil had 100 hours in 3 years on it. From this report, 3 years in crankcase had no ill effects. Philip.

Thanks for the replies.
Went to the local dealership today and bought a filter for $10 and a Owners Manual for $19. Surprised at the reasonable cost, plus they gave me some bolts that I found missing from the loader support that mounts to the rear axle. They must have never been tightened.
For whatever reason Kubota doesn't send enough bolts for all the holes located in the loader support bracket. I had to get the dealer to supply 4 extra bolts. Kubota says only 2 bolts on each side is sufficient... Then why have it drilled for more?

glad your issue w/vandals turned out ok. sand in the crankcase, or sugar in the fuel would have been disastrous. sometimes i wonder about that myself having rural property where the tractor resides. have the vandal issues been resolved? how did you discover the sand in fuel? scary. KTAC a wise move all the best bb
