So Tom, my Bobcat rep, came by the shop today to show me a CT230. Long story short, he left my shop with it and dropped it off at the house. Got the suspension seat, FEL w/ skid steer connectors, 60' Box Blade, Pallet Forks, 3pt quick hitch, rear work light and industrial tires. A 72" rotary cutter i'll pick up this week will be a King Kutter or a Woods. I bought two new skid steers for my business last year from him and we (the business) has been dealing with them for many years. I am comfortable with the deal.
I looked at Kubota, New Holland and John Deere also. I think that I got the most tractor that I needed for the money that I was willing to spend. We have 18 acres, 5 of which is a combination of finish cut and meadow around the house on sandy soil and the rest is stiff, rocky, hilly and heavily wooded with about a mile and half of trails. I also have a neighbor with 160 acres and trails all over the place including some down by the river. He gives me free range of his property and all the rocks that Chimp, the chick that stopped going home 20 years ago, cares to have for her various landscaping projects. So we trade out neighbor type stuff. I will help with trail mowing.
Anyway, Chimp tells me that tonight is the night that we clean up around the dog house. I have never looked forward to a chore more.
Cheers,
-Broe
