I recently Acquired a Miller Dialarc HF-P Tig/Stick & Miller Regency 200 CC/CV with Aluminum Spool gun, The first Project i am Doing with it is a rake that will clamp on to the edge of an excavator bucket for spreading mulch.
So Far i have tacked the bottom and top lengths of angle together and tacked on 8" with 6" stick out pieces of 1" Rebar for the Tines, i still have to weld on some gussets behind the tines and attach some chain to hold it to the bucket.
Heres some Pictures of what i have so Far.
First is the 2 pieces of Angle tacked together

Second is with the Rebar tines sitting in place to finalize placement

Third is with the Rebar tacked on and rake set on bucket lip for test fit

I hope it does what you want it to. Looks like it should work. I once thought about mounting my landscape rake to my backhoe for cleaning limbs from under trees where my tractor won't go without knocking me out of the seat. In my opinion anything beats a hand rake!!

What's the plan for attaching it to the bucket? Bolts? Clamps?

Duck tape? :laughing::laughing::laughing:

No chance of you being a Red Neck. :laughing::laughing::laughing:

If Duct Tape wont do it, Hardly worth doing. :dance1::drink:

I haven't even thought about a plan, just an idea so far. The duct tape mentioned don't sound to bad:laughing: The way I operate a backhoe (just learning) it don't need to be mounted to rigid or I'll rip it apart. Someday I may really think about mounting it (probably with clamps) something simple if possible.

WelderBoy 14 didn't mean to hijack you thread. I'm kinda new here what's the word about your towable backhoe? My brother had one but the hydraulics that were used were very touchy meaning when you tried to move the boom it was (all or none) no smooth operating. He sold it.

I plan on welding chain to the corners of the angle then run it ether under or over the bucket to the back where there is a Lifting hook that i will attach it to, then it will be tightened with a Chain sinch

Haha Long story.....Needed money to finish it which i got then i found the Welders Both for $1000 :shocked::D and there went the money i had for the backhoe. I figured get the welder which i can then use to weld up stuff for other people then make back the money then i can finish the backhoe...atleast thats the plan anyway if i succeed is a whole other story :laughing:
