after buying this loader in the spring (used) i finally had
a chance to test it out. during the construction of our
new dealership, there was large pile of rock that had been
sorted out for various uses, banks, landscaping etc.
i was able to help myself after the project was done,
so i loaded a few on my trailer with a 4000 series
tractor here at work, and took them home for
some future landscaping projects there. 1 piece
in particular was a bit large, and i never thought i'd get
it off the trailer without dragging it, but, boy was i
surprised! due to the trailer ramp etc, once i secured the
rock with the strap i was able to curl just a bit. then
backed off the trailer and to my surprise the loader was
a few inches off the ground! really made those HDAP squat
up front! i had not even put on the 3ph and ballast box.
here's a couple shots of the rock in the bucket. looks like
a granite type of rock, any guess on it's weight?
