Snow Equipment Owning/Operating First snow of the year

/ First snow of the year #11
Marko, you are usually the first guy on here to post snow pictures each season. Not sure if it is something to be proud of or not :)

We got our first snow as well up here. 4-5 cm and it is still on the ground. Sure looks pretty and got my spirits up since it is all so bright now after several weeks of gloomy, rainy fall weather.

I'll take snow over rain any day! Snow in the temp range of 0 to -5 degrees C is pretty darn good weather as far as I am concerned! I'm not cold if it is not blowing - more than comfortable with my barn coat. Dogs and kids love it. I don't mind working outside - if I get warm, I just take my jacket off.

We had a few flurries on and off today in Northern Virginia. I have the tractor ready but the flakes get lost in the gravel and leaves, so I can't plow them.

Oh, I am not so proud of getting snow here so early but it does spur me into at least considering getting my snowblower attached.

It's really coming down hard now. We are suppose to get 25cm (10") today so I am going to take the box blade off and put the rear blower on.

I was going to head south this week to the MI UP (Esacanaba) to buy a slightly used kayak but I think kayaks are going to have wait until spring now.:(

I may have won this year. These are from Oct 22nd. We usually get snow in October, actually every month but August since I have lived here.

Very nice Mech! You win this year:)

I just got in from clearing the 10" in my driveway. Thankfully I did get out into the back forest and put the blower on. I wouldn't have made it in there later in the day. Tomorrow I am putting the chains on-oh, how I hate that task:(
