Buying Advice First time tractor buyer- JD 5055e vs 4044R-- which one best suited?

Deere really does make some nice tractors. I looked real hard at the 5075e cab model but I needed to buy something before the end of the year and they were 3 months out then plus the price was a tough nut.

We have almost 90 acres about 40 miles from you and my advise is get the biggest tractor that you can. Unless you have it in heavy grazing rotation you are going to have to mow it four to five times a year to keep the mesquite and weeds in check and the bigger the mower the better. I have a 73HP Kioti and it does fine but the 10' 3pt mower beats you to death bouncing around so I am upgrading to a 12' batwing tow behind (the biggest I can safely use in the orchards) for a better ride and faster work. I have the 86" Armstrong brush rake grapple - great for rough work and spreading mulch around and I have not managed to tear it up yet, but one with more lower lip would offer more finesse. I would recommend driving each tractor around the lot at different speeds. i dont know how heavy the 4series is but i have a 3720jd and it bounces around compared to the 5series which is heavier.

4000 series bounces too. This is due to smaller tire outer diameters compared to 5000 series. I went from a 5300 to a 4720 for the ehydro. Due to the bounce I kept the 5300 for several years but finally let it go. If the 5075 with power reverser has a lighter clutch pedal force than the 5300 I will likely make the change back to the 5000 series.
