Your intended use(s) of the tractor and how large your property is would be a great starting place for members to help you out.

I would ask the dealerships. I'm sure they would let you know of any upcoming seasonal deals on their units.

Hi Danny, I have about 1 acre to mow and light loader work to do. I really want to do the whole small hobby farm at some point. I've used and killed many riding lawnmowers and my back over the years. My wife and I want something that can maintain what we have and possibly more for many years to come, and not have it in the shop all the time.

Oosik, is the buying experience similar to car buying? Looking for pain free honesty with this whole process.

Visit as many dealerships you can for talk and spin.
Many types of models as you know consider couple of things in your quest, good dealership and comfortable when operating.

Thomas, noticed you're in NH also. I've checked out two dealers. MB in Tilton and was really impressed at their products and how I was treated. Only other place was Chappel in Brentwood and the sales guy wouldn't even get out of his chair or shake my hand. Where you did you pick up your tractor?

How the dealer treats you is really the key . Most of these tractors are good products , but there may be the normal warranty issues or problems later . That is where a good dealer shines .

This is the slowest time of the year for tractor sales, so if anything you should be able to get as good or even a better deal than you could up to now. A good dealer with good Product Consultants, will do just that; consult with you on which product best suits you needs and wants (not always the same). I would take a close look at the Ventrac products for what i think you will use it for. Ventrac Compact Tractors & Attachments or the LS J2020H J2020H « LS Tractor USA. Kubota, John Deere, Mahindra, New Holland (which are made by LS) are all good tractors with options for what you're looking to do.
