So I have a dealer that sales both Branson and Kioti..... It's between the CK3510 and the Branson 3515. Which would you recommend and why? I have heard some really bad stories about Branson's support. I am hoping that that will change in the near future with the TYM buy.

Comparing both, Branson takes the lead on this one. You can go and check the specs for yourself.

You didn't mention if you're looking for HST or gear tractor. But for the gear versions, Branson uses a 12x12 shuttle shift synchronized transmission, where the Kioti uses a simple 9x3 non shuttle transmission.

Branson has 2 PTO speeds, 540 and 540E, it's heavier, will lift more in the 3 pt and loader, has higher flow rate on both pumps. Also it's a simple tractor, old school tractor with little to no electronics. It's a really heavy duty, like the old tractors used to be.

Kioti has one PTO speed, it's about 300-ish lbs lighter, won't lift near as much as the Branson.

But, then again, I have one which I love and it's just a beast. I'm sure both are great tractors. On the other hand, here in Portugal, Kioti took the lead this year on the number 1 selling brand in the 35 to 50 HP range tractors. Kubota used to be the top 1.

About the support, if you search a little bit more, you'll also find some bad stuff about Kioti. But honestly, we can't always trust these feedback we see every once in a while. It's easier to bash a brand, but we never know the full and real details behind the issues that caused the brand to not support it.

All I can say, is that Branson is going strong in Europe, contrary to what some people think and say.

I have a Kioti and it's been a good tractor.

But, if I were looking today, I would price out some different parts for each model. I have bought Kubota parts for my Kioti because of price. I need a sector shaft seal now and Kioti's price is around $50.00. So I will be getting one at the local bearing dealer.

Another example is the sector shaft. I broke mine a few years back and at the time Kioti wanted $1,100 for the shaft and said it was unavailable. I got the same shaft from Kubota for $275.00.

I think both brands are good and should serve you well. Good luck!

I think support is strictly down to your selling dealer. Since you will be buying either brand from the same dealer, I'd say that factor is irrelevant. My dealer has been fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same brand again, or from the same dealer again.

Since both are coming from the same dealer, focus on the stats and capacities of both models. And drive and operate both tractors side by side. One should stand out to you as being "better" than the other. That's the one you buy.

I would definitely recommend you get some seat time in both before you decide. Either would serve you well.

This is the first "A or B?" tractor question I've seen in a while where someone's not considering a tractor in brand A in one class and another that's "just a little more" in a considerably different power/weight class!
