Its a beauty. The blizzard came through yesterday & last night. This morning there was about 18" of snow - it was really hard to tell how much was here as the wind was blowing it all over & some of the drifts were 3-4'.
Anyway I don't have the hydraulics hooked up for the chute rotation or deflector yet
and the chute was fixed almost straight back, maybe off 15-20 degrees - not the best position. I did our 500' gravel driveway moving an appropriate amount of stone along the way and getting totally covered in snow by 7 am.
I started doing the area in front of the garages getting really frustrated with not being able to direct the discharge when I sheared the pto shaft shear bolt. Good time to stop.
I did some errands & at lunchtime started attacking removal of the hydraulic motor for the chute rotation. Whoever designed this blower apparently meant it to last forever. Everthing I had to take off was really heavy gauge. I managed to move the motor & drive gear away from the chute gear and rotated the the chute to almost 90 degrees. MUCH better.
After I replaced the shear bolt I went out & finished - no more snowman & I was able to direct the throw where I wanted it.
Oh yeah, I haven't told my wife yet but the fel got a little too close to one of the garage lights - uhh make that former garage light.
