Great video. I cast to my TV and watched with the wife.

Would love to see the taps, collection tank, and more of the process.

What camera and editing software? I would also like to know your computer specs.

Thanks JD855guy, going to be putting more videos up including some work on the collection tanks and new sleigh to haul sap.

For the video i have just been using Windows Movie maker, they don't make it anymore, but you can still download the old copy of it and it still works on Windows 10.

Computer is just HP Envy from Costco win an I7 chip, 12 GIG of ram, added a solid state hard drive to give it a boost to, seems to handle video editing quite well.

Thanks for watching and subscribe to my YouTube channel if you want to see more "Spruce Creek Farm"

Great video  thanks for sharing.
Understand why some of your lines are 6-8 feet because of gravity flow,we were taught keep taps just above snow line so far from the base of the tree get more sap and sweeter.
Using tree for tension on line I understand, but have you notice any wear/rubbing from trees moving cause by winds, also stress from expanding and contacting which may cause joints to pop free?

Again thank you for sharing looking forward to more video's. :)

I need to break down and upgrade my system. Movie Maker will not allow me to make HD movies. I am running Win 7 32 bit and it only allows 4 gigs of ram. MM try to render then reports I don't have enough memory. I can do HD with Sony Movie Maker but I use it so infrequently and it is very NOT intuitive to use.

That Maple sap must be some thin stuff to flow through 3/16" tube. The only sap collection I ever did was pine sap. That is some thick nasty stuff. My granddaddy and I use to haul wooden barrels on a sled to pour the cups in. We had to have a cup on each tree and score the tree periodically to promote more flow.

I edit 4K with Movie Maker but it is not the free version, having said that there is a lot it won't do like colour adjustment, very basic.
I am using 10 with 8gb RAM as well as 500gb SSD and 1tb HD, 64bit
