My pond that I had dug last year, I am not stocking other than the 4 white amurs. I am letting mother nature stock it.

So far, I have thousands of frogs, And probably thousands of tiny fish. I am not sure what the fish are?? if they are just little minnows or feeder fish. Or if they are something else like baby bass, bluegill, crappie, etc.

I am pretty sure the third pic is just a minow. There are the most of them. But the first two pics?? Bluegill???
These were taken from the overflow creek that is soon to dry up unless we get some rain in the next few days. I puled probably 50 of the fish in pic 3 and about 20 of the first two in only about 30 minutes with a small net.

If they are just feeder fish, I am not too worried, as I know pleanty more will be getting flushed out everytime it rains. But if they are a game fish, I will save as many as I can until they get big enough to not get washed out.

Thanks

I dont plan on ordering any fish. I'll let nature take care of it. I dont eat bass or bluegill. Just enjoy catching. Bluegill are just as fun to catch. And if these bluegill /eggs found their way to my pond, I am sure its only a matter of time before I have bass. And maybe already do.

Thanks for the quick response/confirmation on the ID. Just as I was suspecting bluegill/minnow.

When the bluegills get bigger, send them to me!!! A PITA to clean but not too many fish are tastier IMHO.

If you don't have a predator fish like LMB soon, you will end up with stunted bream (sunfish)...keep an eye on things and consider a few bass...amazing how nature will fill a void !

Seen that happen to ponds at golf courses with LMB.
