Ok guys... how would you compare Cub Cadet vs. Kubotas overall build quality?? I'm talking about the details! Fit and finish! Any rattles? Paint quality? All the small things.... thats what I want to know!

I own a Kubota but something keeps telling me I SHOULD own a Cub Cadet!! What gives?

Statistically, rockyridge is correct; stick with Kubota between the two. However, I've had issues with a couple of JD's as well as a new Kubota I bought. Fortunately, the companies took care of me. After a relative has practically worn out my trailer taking their Cub back and forth to their dealer for the last 4 years, they did weeks of research and found that the overall quality of Cub needs to improve. Just remember, nothing's going to be perfect. After having issues with my JD and Kub, and was frustrated with both of them, my nearly 100 year old grandfather reminded me that none of the tractors available to us were made in heaven by angels. All of them are designed and made by humans; therefore, obviously open to some problems. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What size Cub would you be looking at? The 8000 series are simply Kioti Tractors in Cub clothes. Very good quality tractors with excellent fit and finish.

anything , tractor car ,truck no matter the name brand can have a problem with, fit & finish at times. But on the whole i am partial to kubota. what makes you think you should have gotten the cub cadet? something you don't like about your kubota in particular? just curious /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The 5000 series is about all I could justify for my needs.

Frank.. I bought my Kubota because is was a gently used '99 with 299 hrs, FEL, boxblade for $4800! I couldn't pass up that deal.. I wouldn't have cared what brand it was. I don't have anything againt the Kubota other than no power steering. I plan to use the Kubota this summer while I'm still getting my land ready but I think I might eventually sell it and by something new. I'm not normally someone that buys used but I just couldn't turn down the deal I got. I don't even know why I like the CCs. I have just always seemed to perfer them. But I don't want to buy one and realize the build quality isn't up to par.

I had a Cub Cadet 7260 by Mitsubishi for 7 years. Never once had a problem with it. Were i to by another Cub Cadet, I would go for the Mitsubishi amd not the Daedong. Mitsubishi is Japanese and Daedong is Korean, I believe.

You make that sound like a bad thing. The 8000 series Cub Cadets are repainted and rebadged Kiotis. As you probably know, the Kioti DK series is a high quality tractor. Both the Mitsubishi and Daedong machines are real good quality and one can't go wrong with either. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No, it doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's just that the Mitsubishi was a good experience. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
