I don't know what they are called. Hydraulic fittings that would have male/female pipe thread on one end and have threads that end in a sort of cone shape on the other. Kind of like typical gas stove connector fittings. What are these things called? Oh yeah... and what are the threads on that coned end called? Not SAE, not m/fpt.....

The guide from discount hydraulic hose is super helpful. I referred to that a bunch when I was doing work on my tractor.

It sounds like you are describing a fitting that has NPTF on one end and JIC 37 on the other.

The other type of fitting that is pretty common is ORB (O Ring Boss).
