History:
Some of you have been walking with me on this tremendous adventure in getting my tractor started. It all started with the air bleed and has led to what I think is the cause and that was the faulty fuel lift pump.

Progress:
OK I got my new pump (no kit available).
The in and out lines were a bear to remove. They're the metal kind and at first I couldn't even figure out how they were attached so tightly after I completely loosened the fittings.
They had some type of O ring.

Problem:
Now both in and out lines leak. I'm looking for new O rings. I was wondering if there was some kind of standard type or is this an MF specialty?

Thanks in advance. Getting close I think...

I found what I needed at our local "tractor" store. They're called "Bushings" among other things. A bit expensive but if they work...

Thanks,
James

I will keep you all posted.

You may have it fixed by now, but many people don't know that the fuel lift pump comes without the olives installed in the area where the lines will insert. You have to ask for them at the MF dealers which cost about 50 cents each. They are small black pieces about 1/2 cm long that you place inside each hole where the line go in and the line will screw tightly into the olive. My problem with my MF 240 is the fuel lift pump continues to spring a leak within a couple of months of installing it. I have replaced about two each year for the past 3 years. I am getting pretty good with the olive installation. I hope your leak has been resolved. Have a great day.
