The flashers and turn signals on my TC35D are now flashing faster then they use to. There seems to be no delay between flashes now like there use to be. They started to do this after the tractor had sit outside in the weather a few days in the rain /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. It has been driving me nuts. They also, at one time, quit flashing all at once and just stayed on right after I power washed the tractor. Can someone point me in the right dirrection as to where to look for the problem?

Your owner's manual has a wiring diagram.. Have a look at that and you'll see the wiring and components in the circuit. In my GM car, when a bulb is bad, the rate of flashing doubles so I know its time to change a bulb. Could you have a bad bulb ???

Its a pretty simple circuit. The only complication is the crossover components between the actual hazard flash circuit and the directional switch.

I'm not sure how those flashers work, but with older style flasher units the speed of the flashing was partially determined by the load on the circuit. They used a bimetallic strip to cycle the power so the more load the faster the strip gets hot and opens quicker. If this is the type unit you have then getting a socket wet will increase the load and therefore speed up the flashing. I bring this up because you said that it got faster after you power washed it too. It could also be partially to the fact that the unit is about to fail.

I would hope the flasher unit is electronic and no longer depends on the load imposed to make it work correctly. Sounds to me like the flasher may have gotten wet, water will make electronic thingies do funny things.

Find your control box for the flashers, I believe it is under the steering column . You'll have to remove the two panels between your feet. It will be a black box with one plug. It is probably sitting in a position that water is sitting in the plug and shorting things out making the lights not work properly. Dry it out with compressed air and apply a good coating of dielectric grease to keep the moisture out. Position it when you are done so the plug is facing down so it will not collect water.

Found out the problem was only a defective flasher relay on the fuse block. It is the same small round silver one found in cars. As a matter of fact, I pulled it out of a dodge omni and the flashers were back to normal. The funny part was that when I went to the dealer this morning, they were going to sell me the black box with some wires and connector for the very small price of $84 /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. The salesman had trouble finding the right flasher in the first place which led me to go home and see if I could repair the old one first and to double check. How many TC35D's can there be with different flashers? and he never did find the one that I replaced. I removed the panels, found and replaced the flasher ,and added some dielectric grease to the new flasher and also to NASO Hazard/Turn Converter relay just to make sure. Didn't see any signs of water damage but it sure was dusty under there. I also looked for the $84 black box but didn't see hide nor hair of it anywhere /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. All I seen was a smaller one that was mounted below the fuse black. Everything works good as new now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif..Thanks for the help guys. Just glad it wasn't something major.
