- Kubota B8200, then a Kubota L3130 HST, now a Kubota L3400 HST
Well, after drooling over some of 4shorts projects involving lighting, I finally did a little, crude project of my own. I found what seems to be a decent 10 LED truck light at Wally World for about $15, but it required a box to mount it in. Since I almost never have to take my tractor out on public roads, this project wasn't urgent. The other day, I chanced upon a remnant piece of composite porch railing at Lowes- cheap, and workable with wood working tools. The railing is weatherproof, made from wood fiber and resins, and coated with a hard, smooth white finish. I glued up the box with urethane adhesive, painted it to match my Kubota, attached a computer hard drive magnet that must have a 15lb. pull, and will plug it into my flashers. Almost no current draw, so it works fine without other mods needed. Since I didn't really need it, I couldn't justify buying good equipment, but this seems pretty noticable.
