I have my grapple ordered and it's coming with flat faced connectors. My tractors 3rd fuction has Ag style connectors. Do I change the connectors on the tractor or the grapple ?

Ags are cheaper, and prbably more compatible with other attachments you might get. Flat faced are easier to put together with pressure in the lines and easier to wipe clean. Which ones you choose are up to you.

grapple will not have fluid or pressure in it, cleaner/easier to change those connectors.

I've tried both. I found flat faced take a LOT more force to get connected. I found it very difficult to connect two hoses together. You really need one on a bulkhead and even then it's a lot of force. I like the Pioneer 4200 series couplers. The sleeve will release the coupler when pulled either direction instead of just one, which makes connecting couplers much easier.

The ag couplers do drool some fluid when you disconnect but if you hold the female coupler up most pf it will stay in there. The rest can be wiped up with a rag.

I beg to differ with this statement. While the grapple may arrive without fluid in its system, it could have been factory tested and have fluid upon arrival. Personally I would prefer factory tested as you know the system passed QC prior to shipped.
As for changing connectors, if you plan to order Skid Steer (as I am guess you did on your grapple) vs tractor oriented attachments change to flat face on the tractor (caution here, most SS oriented attachments are setup for higher gpm flow) if future purchases are tractor oriented, change the attachment to pioneer (ag) connectors.

I want to thank everyone for their comments.
I am going to go with the pioneer connectors. I am already familiar with them and if needed easier to find replacements around here.

I agree,
Just don't put them together without a good wipe down (y)
They are really much easier to use and relieve the pressure that WILL come with temperature changes and sunlight/shade. The flat face couplers only disconnect reliably.
