My buddy bought a 2004 TC24. I assumed the FEL had a float position for snow removal. He doesn't think it does. If it does, how does he get it into float? Thanks!

No owners manual with it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Push the joystick all the way forward. When I first got mine is was pretty stiff and hard to get to go into float, but after using it a few times it has loosened a little and goes into it pretty easy now. Just lower the loader and the push on up on the stick. If it hasn't been used much, it'll feel pretty tight.

Just push it all the way forward, you will feel it click in.

I don't use mine much, the joystick keeps popping out.

Sounds like there is something wrong there. You should talk to your dealer. Mine has never come out once I put it in float. My boot developed a hole and the dealer gave me a boot to replace it myself (at my request). I looked at while I had it apart. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out why it won't stay in float if you are out of warranty.

He is pretty pumped about it too, just a little bummed out that I can razz him now. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Perhaps tell him that he was too much of a 'girly man' to push the FEL control forward through the detent.

HAAA!! That's what I told my buddy. On the phone, I kept telling him to push the stick ALL THE WAY FORWARD UNTIL HE FELT A DETENT. Well, he said his big old Kubota must not have a "float position" I finally got a look at it, and the entire base was loose and moving. One twist of the locking handle and the stick now clicks into float. I called him a sissy for not tightening down his base "like a real man".
