1985 John Deere 650, 2002 New Holland TC35D, 2000 John Deere 4200 HST
Hi All, I Have a New Holland TC35D with a rusted floor. Well, I decided to build my own floor after getting a quote for a used one for $2500. Here are some pictures of what i have done so far. i have about $575 in metal, and $100 in paint. I Don't generally count tools as a project cost, but i did end up buying a hypertherm powermax 45xp, and that cost me about $2100. If you take all of this and add it up it came out to $2775. Cheaper than getting the other one shipped which was rusty too. Any questions let me know!

looks awesome and looks much more sturdy than the original. You can't count tools as they can be used for many more projects in the future, at least thats what i keep telling myself ........nd my wife.

would also be better if you could afford to get it powdercoated

Eh, I could. Just not a fan of powdercoat. The paint in certain areas will wear off powdercoated or not. Plus to me its an extra 300 to 400 and its just not worth it IMO

After replacing the floor mat on my B7800 3 times I decided that it was enough. I bought a can of truck bed coating and brushed it on. It totally protects the bed from the weather, is non slip, shows no wear after several years and when hosed off looks like new.

That's wild. Why was the pan rusted so badly, not being all that old?
It is because NH was notorious for having a rubber floor mat that had foam in between the metal floor and rubber. Of course this traps moisture and therefore rusts the floor. The previous owner didn't store the tractor indoors and he also didn't ever take the floor mat off so it just sat there and rusted
